Building everyday objects and utilizing old fashioned hand tools and time honored joinery is a respite from the trials of life as well as a fulfilling exercise of craft that has provided me a modest income.
Shaker Oval Box 2015. I admire the graceful form of the Shaker oval box. I built this one from quarter sawn cherry and birdseye maple.

I built this planter with reclaimed cedar as a gift for some homeowners for whom I had the pleasure of working for many months.

Garden Bench. The seat is walnut, the legs and aprons are Western red cedar. The seat is finished with epoxy base coats and epifanes spar varnish top coats.
The Westport Chair. An early version of the Adirondack chair. I built this one from reclaimed douglas fir.
Maple Desk
The ubiquitous octagonal picnic table. I built a few of these as a side hustle one summer as I waited for some delayed sheetrock subs to complete their work. This one has a cedar top and pressure treated pine framework.
